The circle of life - Carol Anne Whitaker ( Cowle)

Carol - has shaped everyone of our lives in one way or another and this little video signifies the pieces of her life and one of those pieces is yours - a unique shape
How you touched her life and how she touched your life.

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces up, snow is exhilarating; there is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather

12th January 1947 - 10th March 2011
 64years 1month and 26days.
RIP in Eternity Carol
our
Wife, Mom, Nanna, Sister, Sister in law and Friend.

One must look at something very special. Carol was 1 of eight kids, the second born and the
8
signifies a circle of life. It is never ending and interlinked with us all,
from birth and till death do us part.
WE ARE NOW SEVEN
7
This signifies a walking stick, a crutch we will need to take us down the path, walking a road without our dear and beloved sister.

The circle of life can take away the air that we breath and the rhythm of our hearts but one thing it can not take away is
THE MEMORIES
The memories of Carol have not gone to rest on
THURSDAY 10th March 2011
and will not go to rest, when we say our final farewell on
THURSDAY 17th March 2011

These memories we all have, each and everyone of us, will stay with us for ever, until the time comes for us to join her, in a place that she called
HEAVEN

From where she looks down and watches over us from now and into eternity............

We loved you Carol, we still love you Carol,
and this love, the same love you had for us, will guide us on in our lives,
Until we meet again.............

The last Email The Editor got from Carol, 8/3/2011, was one of many that she sent out, and it signifies what she stood for and the love she had for Family and Friends.
Here is just an extract of one page, that will be forever embedded right here on the blog.

The Old man once said many years ago, and today his words ring out to everybody
Still Beautiful

Its Tania's Birthday 7-2-2011 ** 32years today - WOW

A question I ask myself as a DAD is  -- "What is a Daughter"???
the answer is actually pretty simple.............

A Daughter is ..... a little girl, that comes into her Dads life 32 years ago,
she grows up to become his
BEST FRIEND EVER

Yip -  Tania is just that - nothing more and nothing less, and looking around her family and friends, this question or should I say the answer, can be verified by one & all.

Not only is it her Birthday celebration today 7th Feb 2011, but this year - in a few weeks time she will be walking down the Isle with me - for me to give her away to her
Newest and Dearest BEST FRIEND - ANDY

May 2011 bring you sooooooooooooo much Happiness and Love
Tania - my Madampie - from Ougroote

Welbeck St - this one is for Dad - Bill Cowle

THIS I COULD NOT RESIST

In my work as a Maintenance Manager, my world of responsibility has just expanded - hopefully my pay package aswell. I have been allocated a new building to look after added to my present responsibilities.

So why post this on the blog

The new building hsa an address - 72 WELBECK St, now for those that don't remember or don't know Welbeck st is where Dad lived in his last happy days in Newcastle.

Now of the hundreds of buildings in London I get the one that is listed in this street, How amazing is that.

The very strange thing is, when I told Ria, her first words were - That's the street that DAD lived in. WOW, how amazing is that.

Just had to share this with you all.

TANDY - PROJECT SHOWER

PROJECT SHOWER

HI DAD - THE EDITOR
Here is an entry for the 8Cowles blog from us: Tania & Andy

Tania & Andy needed to replace the shower in their en-suite.  It was leaking and causing water damage to the ceiling downstairs.  Andy started the work between Xmas and New Year, ripping out the old shower and preparing for the installation of the new one.  He did a really good job and made some excellent progress considering he was ill with flu and a chest infection.
Bill & Ria came over to stay on New Year’s day.  The 2 guys worked hard for 2 days and Andy did some of the last things during the first week in January.  First shower taken Friday 7 Jan – BLISS!!! Andy has a few more final things to do, and then it will be complete.   Here are a few photos (don’t worry, there are no photos of the first shower taken.....)

From Tania: Thanks to the 2 wonderful men in my life for a job well done!!!  Quoting Frank: “Team Work Makes the Dream Work!”

THE OLD LEAKING SHOWER, TILES, DOOR AND TAPS REMOVED BY ANDY
THEN THE TEAM BUILD THE NEW FALSE WALL  - TO HIDE THE NEW PLUMBING
CLADDING OF THE WALLS IS ALMOST COMPLETE

AND FINALLY    "  ITS JOB DONE AND DUSTED "

COMMENT FROM THE EDITOR: TANIA REFUSED TO DO A REAL LIFE MODEL TEST OF THE SHOWER WITH CAMERAS IN VIEW.

It's the 21st of January 2011 and its Molly's Birthday

Funny how when you play with numbers, what answers you can come with.

12th Carol B/day added = 3, 21st Molly, add carol and Molly = 21 +3 and you get 24th  MOMMY's birthday
then I remember when I was half Molly's age she was 8 and I was 4, there was a time when molly was 4 times older than me she was 4 and I was 1.

This goes to prove that Molly does not age as fast as I do, today she is 66 and I am going on 62, a far cry from half her age or even 4 time younger.
What ever her secret its she has always had the belief of think YOUNG, be YOUNG and you stay YOUNG, it is all in the mind........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY

LET IT SNOW IN lONDON - 18/12/2010

The last time I posted about the snow here in the UK, I made a statement that "Leon said, it does not snow in SURREY or LONDON", well first of all he statement has two parts........

1. It does snow in Surrey - its a flurry in Surrey - this video is proof.
2. It does not normally snow here, this is almost the worst or even repeated snow for 50years, and the prediction that we get a White Christmas looks very promising.

Now here is something else, with more and more friends and family acquiring Iphones, Smart Phones and Ipads, loading a video straight to the blog needs a Windows PC to watch it, so with technology and the help of YOUTUBE , we can now upload and play videos on our hi-tech gadgets, hence the fact that I now load videos via YOUTUBE,........... makes sense to me anyway.
So with a PC or a Gadget you can now all enjoy the blog anyway which you prefer.
HAPPY BLOGGING
Ria says "Hi" to everybody, if you can see her under the layers and layers of warm clothes.
The back garden table with 5inches of snow on the top - time for a braai Andy, are you coming over.
Molly & Lisa thought I might get to Heathrow to meet up with Tori, who landed in the snow this morning on route to Zambia for Christmas ..... don't think so. going nowhere fast.
some lovely pictures of the GARDEN - 18/12/2010
and now the VIDEO,
LETS GO PLAY IN THE SNOW

The first Christmas message on the blog to all and sundry.

Holiday Greetings to You and Yours,

The Editor wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to all the family/friends & visitors to the blog, but it is so difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my attorney yesterday, and on his advice I wish to say the following:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted Gregorian calendar year 2011, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make all our countries in a global world a great place to live and prosper and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Disclaimer: No trees were harmed in the sending of this message; however, a significant number of electrons were slightly inconvenienced.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends and may 2011 be more prosperous and less stressful than 2010.

The last of the first - just Ironic - the Stapelbergs Down Under

Something I just noticed tonight while updating the family b'day list the year starts with a Stapelberg (Whitaker) Jessica - 6th January and  & ends with a Stapelberg (Whitaker) Sarah - 9th December - the First and the Last - Hows that for a family record - so the next baby- ????? must be between 9th Dec & 6th Jan for this awesome find to be broken.

Now Jessica and Sarah also happen to be from the same family. Mom and Dad being Sandra Stapelberg (Whitaker) and James Stapelberg.
Congratulations to the Grandies Carol and Paul

Scotland 21-17 to SA in the rain and cold - what a week-end

The Scots - John (Andy's Dad), Duncan and Lucy (Andy's Brother) Leon, Me and oh yes Tania and Andy went to watch the Springboks kick some Scottish butt, - but the Ref, the wind, the rain, the cold, the lack of skottle braais, kilppies, Nissan Bakkies full of cooler boxes, no sun shine at 28deg was all in Scotland's favour on the day.
The FLOWER OF SCOTLAND was the most amazing, to stand there at the end and listen to the crowd sing was just AWESOME.
This is just a elementary side show,  feature of the whole day will be posted on www.billsparky.blogspot.com during the week, then you will see the whole thing done with bells and whistles to mark this humongous and awesome week-end with the Mitchell's in Scotland

THE FLOWER OF SCOTLAND

And the Winner is...........................

Kay and O’dee entered the dressage competition held at the stables where O’Dee is stabled.  There were 4 in the final and "Whata girl", Kay, took the first prize even though two of them were much more experienced than her at dressage!  Doesn’t she look smart.  Nana’s are allowed to brag about their grandies, it’s their privilege.

What A Grandie, and which Nanna would not be proud and brag about this

We all wait and watch for more to come of this young Lady and her Horse.

Monique and Duncan went to Darwin- Down Under, for the weekend and popped

A first on the blog -WOW - Sponsorship is now closed

At £28-00  it looks like the socks, post and package is all covered, so now it is upto to the EDITOR to get going and get the job done.

Tonight the editor got a skype call from one off his nephews. This has never happened before. None of the nephews or nieces have phoned into the blog. We had the most amazing conversation. This was Nicholas Baart. He was telling me all about the Premire football league and how he follows it. His mom and dad bought him a Man City jersey over the internet and delivered it to thier house. WOW he is so excited and asked me if it is at all possible to find and get him a pair of Man City socks.

Here is the deal: for every comment recieved to this blog item, the editor will sponser £2-00 towards the purchase and postage of these "SOCKS" so get out your mouse, start clicking and get your friends to comment and sponser this cause. Details and sponsership will be made public right here on the blog.

The Editor

The sponsorship now stands at £20-00 as of 23rd Sept. 2 days to go

put your comment on the blog and not on email to me.
